Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection (UAM) Team Received an Award

Our data science team at Kadir Has University Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection UAM competed with 2426 teams worldwide in the “Malware Prediction” competition organized by Microsoft on Kaggle, the world’s largest data science competition platform, with a total award of 50,000 USD. He came in fifth place and won a 1000 USD prize. The prediction model developed by our team, which stands out with its simplicity and easy applicability, was selected to be presented to the team at Microsoft Cyber Security Research Center on 15.04.2019, and this presentation was made. Founded by Anthony Goldbloom and Ben Hamner in 2010, Kaggle directs research and development efforts in the field of data science worldwide with the datasets it publishes and the competitions it organizes. Kaggle was acquired by technology giant Google in 2017, and in this process, it organized data science competitions with big awards sponsored by large companies such as Microsoft and Netflix.
